RE: ARB -201644: Lazy Parrot Expansion
Dear Mr. Mitchell,
We received your resubmission for the above -noted application on May 24', 2016 for a county -wide Certificate of
Appropriateness. A revision date was not included on the resubmission. The following revisions are requested to make
the proposal consistent with the design criteria that apply to the County -wide Certificate. Updated comments are provided
within the underlined text below.
1. Provide a manufacturer's cut sheet for the proposed light fixture and mark all options that are allowed. Rev. 1:

2. Add a note that states "Light fixture will not emit 3,000 or more lumens.- Rev. 1: Comment Addressed.
3. Add a general note that states "Each outdoor luminaire equipped with a lamp that emits 3,000 or more initial lumens
shall be a full cutoff luminaire and shall be arranged or shielded to reflect light away from adjoining residential
districts and away from adjacent roads. The spillover of lighting from Iuminaires onto public roads and property in
residential or rural areas zoning districts shall not exceed one half footcandle.'" Rev. 1: Comment Addressed.
4. Show tree protection fencing for the landscaping to be retained on sheets showing landscaping, proposed grading and
erosion and sediment control. Rev. 1: Comment not fully addressed. On sheet SP1 (Site Demo Plan) label the Tree
Protection Fencing as "Tree Protection Fencing". The line representing the Limits of Clearing and Grading cannot
cross the Tree Protection Fencing. When there is a conflict between the two either the limits of clearing and gradin
need to be changed or the plant in question needs to be temporarily removed and replanted, or replaced, after the work
is completed. Show both Tree Protection Fencing and Limits of Clearing and Grading on sheet SP3 (Landscaping
Plan).
5. Add the following note to the plan: '-All site plantings of trees and shrubs shall be allowed to reach. and be maintained
at mature height; the topping of trees is prohibited. Shrubs and trees shall be pruned minimally and only to support
the overall health of the plant."" Rev. 1: Comment Addressed.

6. If there is an existing sewer line within the area of the site plan show the sewer line and the sewer line easement on
the plan. Proposed landscaping should not be placed within any existing or proposed easements. Rev. 1: Comment
Addressed.
7. Show existing conditions including, but not limited to, the location of landscaping and fencing on the Site Demo Plan
sheet. Rev. 1: Comment Addressed.
8. [New Comment] Include revision dates on all sheets of the submission.
Within 15 days of the date of this letter, please send me a letter (by email is acceptable) indicating whether you will or
will not proceed with these revisions. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve
your application. If you choose to proceed with the revisions, please forward me one set of revised drawings together with
a memo summarizing the revisions you've made. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60 -day review
period associated with your original submittal. However, I expect to complete the review of your revised proposal within
2 weeks of your re -submittal.
If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to receiving your
revisions and completing this review with an approval letter.
