Pennock Sent: Tuesday, November 21, 2006 9:28 AM To: Summer Frederick; Patrick Lawrence Subject: Letter of Revision format Attachments: Letter Of Revision TEMPLATE.doc; LOR-Jefferson Quarry(SDP 04-079).doc Hey, guys- I forgot to send you this on Friday. If you do a letter of revision, the most important information for the letter is which site plan it's going with (the site plan name and number). Also, as there is a limit of three letters of revision per site plan, make sure to try and find out if there have been previous LOR's granted. So, basically, that just means do a history research of the site in question at least back to the most recent site plan or major amendment. Once you've established that they are eligible for a LOR, your analysis should be what impacts the proposed changes may have. If the impacts include drainage patterns (engineer), visibility of structures or landscaping from an Entrance Corridor(ARB), utility easements (ACSA), or anything similar, then there may be reason to route the requested change to someone else for their impact. If the impacts could be a change in circulation on the site, number of parking spaces, additional floor area, etc., then the changes may be significant enough to be considered a minor amendment(or even a major amendment). If the changes are approvable by any relevant reviewers and are not in conflict with Ordinance requirements, you can create a letter of revision. This template is fairly self-explanatory. I also attached a fairly simple example. After the letter is written, we make copies of the letter and all attachments, and put one in the file, mail (or otherwise deliver)one to the applicant, and give a copy to Rob Heide, who will distribute it to the Zoning Inspectors. If there were other reviewers, check with them to see if they would like a copy as well. Let me know if you have questions about it. It was originally approved some years ago and received some extensions due to estate problems and some litigation (TMP 60-46B). It is currently under construction and significant rock was found in the area of the detention pipe. We found that the pipe could be raised several feet without effecting the detention calculations. We met engineering, with Glenn Brooks etc., at their regular Thursday meeting yesterday. Glenn had no problem with that revision. We noted that the owner would also like to put in a side door as shown on the attached pdf file. The detention pipe will be lengthened and inlet moved to pick up the drainage before it reaches the new sidewalk. Glenn said we needed to request a letter of revision for that modification.
