This Conceptual Plan is intended to accompany the Resubmittal of SUP - 2010000017. 2. This property is designated as Tax Map 122-2A, and also known as 900 Glendower Road, and is located in the Rural Area (RA) on the Zoning Map of Albemarle County, Virginia. 3. The Existing Building, Parking Lot and Entrance Driveway have served as a Sunday School Building and Parrish Hall for Christ Episcopal Church since it was built in the early 1980's. 4. The Site is relatively flat with trees farm fields and widely spaced rural homes surrounding it. S. The existing parking area consists of gravel which has grass encroaching upon it. The proposed parking area will use the existing footprint with gravel being added to better define it and repair any holes. This is proposed in order to eliminate the need to add any impervious areas and to keep the look similar to that already existing, i.e. rural. 6. The parking spaces are 10'x18' and the handicapped accessible space is 13'x18'. The access aisle is 20' wide. Each space will have a concrete bumper at the end to keep the vehicles on the gravel parking area and to define where the spaces are located. 7. The Parking Requirements in Section 4.12.6 requires 1 parking space for each 10 students and 1 space for each employee at the center. The center has a maximum capacity of 34 students which will require 4 spaces and will have 6 teachers and 1 director which will require another 7 spaces. The required number of spaces will be 11 total for the center. However, in addition to the parking spaces there will be a drop off area that will include S spaces for parents to park and escort their children into the building. Moreover, two handicapped accessible spaces will be provided bringing the total number of spaces to 18 parking spaces. Note that the handicapped spaces will be surfaced with an ADA approved surface treatment.
