RE: ARB -2016-99: Whittington Subdivision Phase B2/B4 Freestanding Sign
Dear Mr. Keller,
I have reviewed the above -noted sign application. The following revisions are requested to make the
proposal consistent with Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines.
1. The sign drawing states all components are to be the same materials as previously approved at
the Phase 1 entrance. All sign information required for approval has to be on the actual sign
drawing; references to previously approved sign proposals are not sufficient. Revise the sign
drawing to indicate all proposed materials & colors. A copy of the previously approved Phase 1
sign drawing is attached for reference.
2. Provide a landscape plan using ground cover, shrubs and/or trees to integrate the sign structure
into the overall site landscape.
3. It appears the proposed sign is to be non -illuminated. If accurate, revise the sign drawing to
include a note indicating it is to be non -illuminated. If illuminated, additional information
including the fixture type/color/location and bulb type/wattage will be required. Bulbs emitting
3,000 lumens or more shall be in full cutoff fixtures.
Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this letter indicating whether you will or will not
proceed with these revisions. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60 -day review period
associated with your original submittal. If you choose to complete the revisions, please email the revised
drawings to me. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your
application. Failure to respond to this letter shall be presumed to be a request to proceed to action on
the application without further revisions.

receiving your revisions and completing this review with an approval letter.
