The ARB by a vote of 4:0 approved signs internally illuminated face -]it channel letters for BJ's Brewhouse. Those signs include the "Restaurant" and `Brewhouse" channel letter signs, at the sizes presented at the meeting. The ARB also approved internal face -lit illumination of the "BJ's" letters (only the letter portion of the graphic) on the north, east and south sides of the building. To receive a Certificate of Appropriateness for your signs, please revise the sign drawings to address the remaining outstanding conditions outlined in our August 15, 2016 letter to you. Those outsanding conditions are listed here: 1. Revise the drawings to show that only the "BJ's" letters of the graphic/logo signs will illuminate. 2. Include the standard LED lighting note on the sign drawings: "The level of illumination provided by the LED lights will not exceed the illumination produced by a single stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon." 3. The labeled direction of each building elevation is incorrect. The front elevation faces north (not east) and the rear elevation faces south (not west). The "south (left)" elevation (with signage) is the east elevation. The "north (right)" elevation (without signage) is the west elevation. Revise the drawings accordingly. 4. Sign drawings include a proposed tenant panel in a freestanding sign. That sign cannot be reviewed until a Sign Permit (ARB) Sign Application has been received and approved for the freestanding tenant panel structure.
