GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS AND NOTES
DIVISION (1):
A. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH ALLSTATE AND LOCAL BUILDING CODES AND SAFETY
REQUIREMENTS.
B. CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE AND ADMINISTER MEETINGS THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT
AND AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH; RECORD MINUTES AND DISTRIBUTE COPIES TO ALL
AFFECTED PARTIES.
C. PROVIDE SUBMITTALS ON ALL PRODUCTS UNLESS DETERMINED UNNECESSARY BY THE
DESIGNER.
D. ALL REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH IN AIA DOCUMENT A201 "GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION" SHALL BE BINDING THRU THE EXTENT OF THIS PROJECT.
E. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION AND
SHALL MONITOR OR VERIFY STATUS WITH OWNER AND DESIGNER EACH MONTH.
F. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A TEMPORARY FIELD OFFICE SUITABLE FOR MEETINGS.
TEMPORARY HEATING SHALL BE PROVIDED UNTIL SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION. ALSO
PROVIDE TEMPORARY SANITARY FACILITIES.
G. PROVIDE FENCING, BARRIERS, AND SECURITY AS NEEDED.
H. PROVIDE NX 8' PROJECT SIGN AS DIRECTED BY OWNER.
I. MAINTAIN AS -BUILT DRAWINGS FOR RECORD.
DIVISION (2):
A. FOUNDATION DESIGN PRESSURE ASSUMED TO BE FOR SOIL BEARING CAPACITY OFA
MINIMUM OF 2000 P.S.F., VERIFY IN FIELD.
B. ALL FOOTINGS TO REST ON ORIGINAL UNDISTURBED SOIL UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE;
STEP FOOTINGS AS NECESSARY TO BEAR ON ORIGINAL SOIL.
C. WHERE FOOTINGS MUST REST ON BACKFILLED SOIL, EARTH TO BE PLACED TO 95%
COMPACTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARD PROCTOR TEST.
WHERE FLOOR SLABS MUST REST ON FILL, PROVIDE #57 STONE COMPACTED IN PLACE

FOOTINGS TO EXTEND MINIMUM OF 30" BELOW FINISHED GRADE.
E. INCLUDE REMOVAL OF 5 C.Y. OF MASS ROCK EXCAVATION AND 5 C.Y. OF TRENCH ROCK
EXCAVATION IN BASE BID. IDENTIFY COST PER C.Y. IN CONTRACT.
F. PROVIDE SOIL TREATMENT FOR TERMITE CONTROL, EMULSIFIED TYPE FOR DILUTION WITH

CONSTRUCTION NOTE:
DRAWINGSARE TO BE USED ONLYASAGUIDE TO CREATE STRUCTURE. DRAWINGS DO NOT
COVERALL STRUCTURAL DETAILSAND SPECIFICATIONS. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
GENERAL CONTRACTORIBUILDER TO CONSTRUCT STRUCTURE IN A SAFE AND CORRECT
