RESIDENTIAL YARD: FENCE ENCLOSURE WITH LANDSCAPING
COMPATIBILITY WITH SURROUNDING AREA AND ENTRANCE
CORRIDOR
MARCIA HICKORY
This landscape with fence proposal is planned to enhance the viewing experience
for all travelers and/or pedestrians entering or leaving Charlottesville via the
Entrance Corridor of Avon St.
There is a pleasing fence, arbor and gate presentation with a display of color from
flowering Central Virginia compatible plants, tree, and shrubs.
The landscaping and yard are on an elevation from Avon St. Both grass and patio
are at ground level of plot will not visible from street; the plantings on the face of
the elevation and bordering the fence (weeping redbud, hydrangea's) as well as
the arbor and fence will be seen from the street.
This fence and landscaping blend well and bring color to the existing foliage and
trees on both sides of Avon St as you approach and pass this address.
No existing landscaping will be removed except red clay of 8' x 20' space.
New sapling trees have been placed on the actual roadside elevation by Avinity
builders. There are utility lines and telephone poles lining the East side of Avon St.
The sapling trees already in place on roadside elevation will grow and provide
shade as well as enhance and blend with the presentation of 2721 Avinity Ln and
neighboring townhomes.
