Michelle,
I just spoke with Chuck Proctor and he has numerous concerns with the traffic study. He doesn't think that turn lane
configuration will work with the trip numbers they have used, much less when they use realistic build-out numbers. Just
wanted to keep you posted.

Hi Troy,
Thanks for the update. I thought the same thing about future trips from the subdivision. I'm learning as well so I
understand.

Ok Michelle. This project and study is troubling to me. I'm going to get with Chuck Proctor(hopefully tomorrow)to
discuss this. Reading through the report, as far as I can tell, they are not taking into account the buildout of the
residential development beyond the gas station site. They acknowledge in Section 6, Conclusions and
Recommendations, that both advancing and opposing traffic volumes are going to increase with the completion of the
planned residential development, but I do not see these numbers quantified in any of their figures. I think that buildout
should be considered in terms of the turn lane. This is going to be tricky because for me the critical intersection/left turn
lane is at the intersection of Rte. 29 and Briarwood. That being said, if the entrance to the gas station road does
generate 142 PM peak hour left turns, we need to make sure that it does not start causing a backup in the right turn
lane off of Rte. 29 onto Briarwood. I am by no means the expert here so hopefully I can get some direction from the
expert tomorrow.

Michelle,
We can try to meet tomorrow if you like. I have to meet a resident on Rio Road at 10 and then with Bill Wuensch on
Free Union Road at 1:30. I will likely be going home after the meeting with Bill, so we could look at something in the
morning before 10. Let me know if that works or not.

Hi Troy,
I'm not that familiar with left turn warrants and would love your input. I am reviewing the traffic analysis for the
Briarwood Subdivision. When you are free can we set a time to discuss. Perhaps tomorrow? I would really appreciate it .
Thanks so much!
