He is going to need an exception for this. I have given him the avenue to pursue. I need to get with Adam this afternoon and finalize how he wants to say that in our letter, but that will be the basic gist of it.Justin had discussed this with Troy previously and had not followed up on it. But to answer your question, hopefully today! Anderson,Albemarle County Good morning Carolyn. As Jay indicated a building permit will be required for the bridge. You need to fill out our building permit application, which can be found at our web site (Albemarle.org). In the work description just indicate pedestrian bridge. We will also need two copies of the plans, showing the structural drawings/details of the bridge. We will also need a copy of the site plan, and or plat to the property, showing the location of the bridge. The fee for the permit will be $113.60 and the check needs to be made payable to Albemarle County. If you have any additional questions on the permit process please let me know. Thank you. I wondered if I could schedule a brief meeting with you before you transition because I have a Building Goodness volunteer engineer willing to build a high quality bridge over the stream, and he wants to fully understand the site plan requirements. I would also like to ask you a few questions about the final plan. I would think it would not take more than 15 minutes. If this will work for you, could you let me know a few times and I will let the engineer know and try to schedule it. A revision to the site plan is required. Attached are the outstanding comments on the plan. Planning—A couple remaining comments. Engineering—Two comments relating to the access road. VDOT—Comments relating to sight distance. The remaining comments should be easily met. The most prevalent comments seem to be VDOT comments, specifically one requiring line of sight easement over County owned property. Such an easement would need to be platted, granted by the County, and approved prior to approval of the site plan. Notably: - The Groundwater Tier III assessment was approved by Engineering on 5-27-16. - The WPO plan was recently approved by Engineering and bonding is underway. 17"-- Please Please work with Justin Shimp to address the outstanding items on the site plan.
