Dear Mr. Graham,
This letter is to request the County's approval to install speed cushions on Darby Rd (East) located
in the Scottish Homes subdivision (T2) of the Glenmore Development. The Glenmore Community
Association (GCA) Board of Directors has approved this installation through a formal motion of the
Board.
As you are aware, over the past ten years the GCA has attempted to address the safety concerns of
residents living on this roadway. Most recently we have evaluated the installation of walking paths,
the closure of Ferndown Road at the Ferndown Road/Turnbridge Lane intersection, as well as
other traffic calming measures. After significant review and discussion the Board approved
proceeding with installation of speed cushions as a first step.
A working group of Glenmore residents, led by Diana Ferguson, has been formed to obtain County
approval and implementation. Other members include Richard Smith and Trevor Joscelyne.
Your consideration of this request is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you have any
questions or require further information.
Sincerely,
Nancy J. H. Gansneder, President
