Commissioner COMMONWEALTH of VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION 1601 Orange Road Culpeper, Virginia 22701 September 07, 2016 County of Albemarle Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 Attn: Rachel Falkenstein Re: The Vue -011- Final site plan SDP -2016-00049 Review #2 Dear Ms. Falkenstein The Department of Transportation, Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use Section, has reviewed the above referenced plan as submitted by Hamrick Engineering, P.C., dated November 20, 2015 and offers the following comments: Land Use 1. Please conform to the pavement widening WP -2, 302_02 in the 2008 Road and Bridge standards. Please show on plans mill and overlay. 2. On sheet# C6 please provide MOT plan for the widening of Blue Ridge Avenue. 3. On sheet# C6 please provide hydraulic calculations for the new CG6 curb along Blue Ridge Avenue. 4. On sheet# C6, CG -12 ramps need to be in alignment with each other. 5. On sheet# C6, please label speed limit, right of way width, Secondary Route 1201, on Blue Ridge Avenue. Please note that the final site plan must show conformance with the VDOT Road Design (Manual Appendices B (1) and F, as well as any other applicable standards, regulations, or other requirements. Please provide two copies of the revised plan along with a comment response letter. If further information is desired, please contact Willis C. Bedsaul at 434422-9866. A VDOT Land Use Permit will be required prior to any work within the right-of-way.
