Thank you for sending an email. The additional bedroom has been approved. I will put a hard copy of Alan Mazurowski's septic approval email into the Arcady B & B file as well as copies of the pictures you had sent to my attention. There will not be a need for a second inspection. Our department would ask that you update the number of rooms on your next bed & breakfast application as part of your annual VDH permit renewal. (This application should come with the invoice for the permit fee). Please proceed operating your bed & breakfast under the same conditions: Meals are for breakfast and for guests only. 2. Do not exceed the septic system design capacity (for number of bedrooms and gallons of waste -water per day). 3. Maintain all other building/ life safety and fire safety procedures. 4. Submit an annual bacteriological water sample for your private well. 5. The department recommends that the house septic tank be pumped out every 3-5 years. 6. The department recommends that all foods served to guests come from approved sources. Thank you for all your cooperation and for contacting our department about the additional room. Please email or call me at (434) 972-6276 if you have any other questions. A copy of this email will also be maintained in the Arcady file for future reference. Sincerely, Eric S.
