The pharmacy operates as follows: receive and store bulk medications (which will be broken down for smaller individualized prescriptions), receive specific prescriptions from the patient's care providers and then custom package patient specific smaller doses for distribution via overnight courier(UPS/ Fed Ex) to the patient's point of care. The operation will eventually employ up to 30 employees in the mail order pharmacy, including our internal call center within the pharmacy space. We have addressed the performance standards of Zoning Ordinance Section 18-4.14 as follows: Noise: The operation will not create sound or impact noise levels in excess of the values specified in Section 4.14.1. We will be operating within an existing office building on the second floor. Our major sources of noise is: 1) two small exhaust fans and a condensing unit on the existing roof (several large operational roof top units currently serve the building, the new condensing units are for 2 small supplemental HVAC units within the space for a computer server room and a special medication preparation room for supplemental worker comfort) 2) small 'box' truck deliveries of medications 3) A 100kVa emergency generator, natural gas fired, only to be used in an emergency power outage situation to maintain power to our refrigerators which house vital medications. The emergency generator is at the back loading dock in an existing corner and will have an exterior sound enclosure included with its design which provided sound baffling. Vibration: Our operations do not create vibration. Glare: Our operation is completely contained within the building. The interior lighting associated with this operation does not produce glare that is visible beyond the lot line. The operation is during standard business hours, not a 24-hr operation and utilizes the existing office type lighting. Air Pollution: There will be no emission of smoke, odor or gaseous pollutants. The medication compounding room will utilize a Bio-safety cabinet which is direct exhausted to the roof via a dedicated exhaust fan, through an internal HEPA filter to further refine the exhausted air before it leaves the building. There are no hazardous emissions from this operation. Water Pollution: No liquid wastes will be generated by this operation. Our operation does not represent a hazard to water quality. Radioactivity: The operation does not require handling of radioactive materials. There will be no radioactive emissions. Electrical Interference: The operation does not require any equipment that would generate electrical disturbances.
