Unfortunately, a reduction of the recalculated bond amount of $870,350 could not be completed at this time due to some missing documentation described below. For bond reduction the following must be provided: a. Stone depth and material/core test reports as well as base and surface pavement inspections. Without this it is not possible to reduce bullet items related to the completion of the road surface. b. Concrete test reports. Without these it is not possible to reduce bullet items related to Curb/gutter/sidewalk/CG-12 structures. Ensure the appropriate amount of CBR tests are provided for each road section. Kempton place and Whittington Drive should have additional CBRs taken. Soil Sample Frequency and CBR Tests for Design of New Subdivision Streets are as follows: 1. For streets less than 200 feet in length, one soil sample for conducting AASHTO soil classification and CBR test is required. 2. For streets 200 to 500 feet in length, at least two soil samples for conducting AASHTO soil classification and CBR tests is required, which includes one at each intersection of an existing state road. 3. For longer streets, one soil sample shall be taken at each intersection with an existing state road plus one test sample every 500 feet in length, or portion thereof, is required for conducting AASHTO soil classification and CBR tests. For final bond release all the items above, as well as following will be required: a. Copies of recorded plats for ROW, and other easements. Copies of all recorded drainage easements, sight easements, and right of way PLATS should be provided. These should be copies of actual recorded PLAT documents from the Clerk's office. b. Signed and sealed letter from P.E certifying that completed improvements are built to Engineering Review Comments Page 2 of 2 plan. c. Completed Certificate of Completion signed by the owner. d. Repair sections of pipe/pipe issues noted in the attached punchlist or provide Professional Engineer certifications e. Address remaining missing items in the attached punchlist. Ensure final As-builts are submitted according to Albemarle County's as -built road plan policy. See attached punchlist for more information. Please contact me if you have any further questions.
