I have reviewed your request to revise the final site plan to no longer relocate a portion of the existing RWSA water line/easement as initially depicted on the final site plan. As you know by modifying this proposal the canopy, while proposed as removable, is now within the existing RWSA waterline easement. As such it requires RWSA approval prior to County approval of the LOR. During the review of this request I have contacted RWSA numerous times and they have not provided their approval. Without an approval from RWSA the formal action on this request is denial. Sincerely, Christopher P. September 22, 2016 Plan Reviewer Albemarle County Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 Regarding: Letter of Revision — Federal Express Phase 3 (2335 Seminole Lane) SDP201500034 Letter of Revision #1 To Whom It May Concern, Please find attached an exhibit showing a proposed minor revision to SDP201500034. The approved Site Development Plan shows an existing RWSA waterline and associated easement (DB1045 PG337) in front of the building as being relocated to accommodate the building's new entrance canopy. Field work has revealed that the waterline is considerably deeper than expected and cannot be easily relocated. The owner has worked with RWSA and they have agreed to allow the waterline and easement to remain in the current location. This is with the understanding that the canopy overhang will be cut just outside the easement, and reattached with bolt plates, in case RWSA needs to remove it to perform work in that area. The proposed LOR eliminates the relocated waterline segment and the "New 20' RWSA Waterline Easement" shown on the approved Site Plan, leaving the existing waterline and easement in its current location. This revision does not impact parking, landscaping, utilities, grading, or setbacks.
