RE: Sign application for 612 Rio Road West (ARB201700025)
Dear Mr. Bouch,
We have received your above -referenced sign application. Your application was incomplete. We cannot
begin review until the missing information is submitted. The following items were missing from your
submittal:
1. Payment of $129 for the ARB Review, as the sign is situated in an Entrance Corridor
2. A complete application (i.e., please provide all of the supporting materials/information highlighted in
the attached Application and Checklist for Sign Permit)
3. A color illustration of the proposed (new) signage and details as to the sign's dimensions, the proposed
material, and its means of illumination
In addition, I have a few questions that require clarification:
1. Do you intend to illuminate the sign, and by what means (i.e., internally or by ground -mounted
lights; existing or new)?
2. The bottom portion of the sign that currently reads "Celebrating 35 years of service" — do you
intend to alter that?
3. Do you have plans to erect a new sign on the building?
Please re -submit your sign drawings in color and include the missing information. (You may email the
revised drawings to me at hmcmahon@albemarl.org or send the copies by U.S. mail.) If the missing items
are received within 15 days of the date of this letter, we will proceed with review, and the submittal date
will be adjusted according to the date of your resubmittal. If the missing items are not received within 15
days of the date of this letter, the application will be denied and a new fee will be required to submit a
new application.
If you have any questions about this process, feel free to contact me at 434.296.5832 x3278 or by email at
hmcmahon(cr,albemarle.org
