Heather,
Just left you a vm, but hoping to clarify a little more here.
I have attached a jpeg of the lettering. It is black and the dimensions are included in the pic.
The decal is vinyl and is completely opaque ... there are no transparent elements at all. It will
be adhered to a hard acrylic backing and inserted exactly the same way the existing sign is.
I will gladly bring the vinyl decal to get more specific with colors. Let me know when you will
be in the office.

I am sorry I missed you when you came into the County Office Building today to submit additional
materials and your ARB processing fee; I was in an hour-long meeting from 9:30. In future, if you
give me an idea of when you might come in, I can let you know if I will be available or I will ensure
that I don't schedule anything that conflicts.
I'm particularly sorry that I didn't catch you because there still are missing details that we need in
order to process your application. If it's easier for us to speak in person or over the telephone,
please let me know. I will still write here what information we need on your application:
If you are including new wording in a new font on that white panel below the green sign, that is
part of the existing sign which you propose to change and you need to provide an illustration of
that just as you provided an illustration of the green part of the sign. Please write the font choice
(Quando) as well as the dimensions of the whole sign on the illustration.
The materials you are using need to be written on the illustration as well; you wrote in your email
that you "will be adhering the attached decal to acrylic inserts." Please write that on the
illustration page.
The Entrance Corridor requirements that were highlighted on the application still need to be
addressed.
Opacity: the entire sign needs to be opaque which means that no light can spill
through, or that there is no translucence. In other words, no one should be able
to see the light bulb(s) within the cabinet. You wrote that "The sign will be
opaque except for the Tobey's lettering;" Even the lettering needs to emit
no light, so if the letters are white they won't emit light; if they are clear, they will
emit light. Please clarify that on the illustration.
The actual colors used need to be identified by a standard system with color -chart
numbers, such as Pantone, Benjamin Moore, etc. If you would like to come in, we
have a Pantone (and other) charts; you can identify which
green/yellow/white/black you intend the sign to use and we can write those
numbers down on the application.
Just so you know, my personal office is getting new furniture within the hour and I will likely take
my lunch during that move. If I don't answer the telephone, I will call you back, but it may be
easier to reach my by email until my office situation is worked out. I'm sorry for the
inconvenience. Please let me know if you have further questions and if you would like to meet to
further discuss these application requirements.
Thanks,

The panel below will be lettered with "Changing Pawn ... for Good" in black Quando
font. The color of the cabinet will remain the same. The building siding material is
being replaced and the existing lettering on the building will not be replaced with any
of my signage. The sign currently has lights.
Thanks!

Hi Tobey,
Thank you for your quick response. I will look forward to receiving your completed
application and fee tomorrow. I have looked at the attached graphic and the color
choices (and use of three colors) comply with the ARB design criteria; I still wonder what
(if anything) you intend to do with the lower (bottom), white portion of the cabinet sign,
which currently reads "Celebrating 35 Years of Service" — do you intend to keep that? Do
you have plans to add or change the signage on the building itself? And does your
application answer the question I raised about interior or exterior illumination (do you
intend to light the sign, or does the sign currently have lights)?
Thanks,

Heather,
I will be down tomorrow to submit the completed application and $129 ARB
review fee. In the meantime, I wanted to provide you with the graphic for the
sign. I will be adhering the attached decal to acrylic inserts and replacing the
green portion of the existing sign. The sign will be opaque except for the
Tobey's lettering.
This URL will also take you to the decal

Please let me know if you need any other details and I'll see you tomorrow.

Hello Mr. Bouch,
I am writing to you in reference to the Application and
Checklist for Sign Permit which you submitted to our
office on Monday, March 27. As the property in question
is located on one of the County's Entrance Corridors, any
changes to the exterior appearance (including signage)
must undergo Entrance Corridor review by ARB staff. One
reason that the application was deemed incomplete is
that the processing fee of $129 for ARB review has not
been remitted; however, there are also gaps in the
application itself that need to be addressed. For more
details, please see the letter attached to this email, which
has been posted today.
You have 15 business days (i.e., until April 19, 2017) to
submit the additional and corrected documents and
supporting materials so that your application for a permit
can move forward. If you have any questions, please feel
free to reach out to me at this email address or at my
telephone number below.
Thanks,
