Mr. Batchelor advised t~mt the Federal grant approved for this project was in
the amount of $50,500.00. However, in a recent meeting with F.A.A. it was
CO
indicated that increased ffederal funds might be available although the tie-dorm
area would have to be constructed entirely ~with local funds. This would mean
that $136,000.00 would be required for this project at the local level if the
Federal government increases its participation as anticipated. The gowerning
bodies were informed that there are sufficient' funds in the ai?.port account
to cover this project. On motion by Mr. Yancey, seconded by Mr. Wood, the
project as outlined by the County Executive was approved and the County Execu-
tive and the City Manager were authorized to accept the low bids of 'Faulconer
Construction Company under Items II and_ IIIA, above listed~ and the low bid of
J. M. Murphy for lighting. The motion carried with ~r. Wheeler abstaining.
(Similar action was taken by City Council.)
-The Board was advised that resolution authorizing the County Executive to
sign application for reimbursement in connection with flood related expenditures
was required. The following resolution was offered by Mr. ~aeeler, seconded
by Ilr. Carroll, and unanimously adopted:
BE IT tLESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Albemarle County,
that T. M. Batchelor, Jr., County Executive, be and he is hereby

application and file it in the appropriate State office for the
purpose of obtaining certain Eederal financial assistance under the
Federal Disaster Act (Public Law 87~, 81st Congress; 42 U.S.C. ~8~-
