MEDIATELY. MR. WOOD WA8 ADVISED THAT MORTON HAD EXPERTS ON HAND EARLIER IN THE MEETING TO
EXPLAIN WHAT WAS BEING DONE TO ALLEVIATE THIS SITUATION AND TO ANSWER ANY qUESTIONS HE MAY
HAVE, HowEVER~ ~Ro SMITH~ GENERAL MANAGER~ WAS STILL PRESENT AND ADVISED MR. WOOD THAT HIS
COMPANY IS SPENDING APPROXIMATELY A HALF MILLION DOLLARS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DISPOSAL
PLANT WHICH WOULD BE COMPLETED IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
THE COMMONWEALTH;S ATTORNEY ADVISED THAT HE HAD OBTAIN~ROM ~UDGE WADDELL A DELAY UN-
TIL SEPTEMBER 1~ 10~ IN CONNECTION WITH WATSON PETITION FOR ANNEXATION. HE RECOMMENDED
THE APPOINTMENT OF A COMMITTEE CONSISTING OF HIMSELF, THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE AND THE CHAIRMAN
OF THE E~OARD BE APPOINTED TO SEEK ADVICE OF LEGAL EXPERTS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF THE EN-
