RE: ARB -2016-114: Picture Parts - Signs
Dear Mr. Smith,
I have reviewed the above -noted sign application. The following revisions are requested to make the
proposal consistent with the Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines.
The sign plan must include all of the information required. Include all of the information you have
previously submitted and the additional information requested in this letter. The sign plan must include:
1. In the photograph of the building show dimensions for the location and size (length and height) of
the sign band area. With this building the length of the leased storefront is the length of the sign
band area.
REV. 1: Comment Addressed.
2. In the photograph of the building show dimensions for the height at which the sign band area is
located on the building.
REV. 1: Comment Addressed.
3. The square footage of the sign band area (length x height).
REV. 1: Comment sufficiently addressed. Since there is no obvious "sigma band" area this
measurement isis no loner recLuested.
4. In the photograph of the building show dimensions for the height at which the top of the sign is
located on the building.
REV. 1: Comment addressed.
5. The material and color information for each of the components of the sign (front, trim caps,
returns, and back of letter).
REV. 1: Comment not fully addressed. Revise the note for the color of the raceway back to
the wording provided in the first submission. The additions and revisions for the color of
the front, trim caps, returns and the back of the letters was done as requested. However,
one other change was made in the second submission that was not specifically requested.
For the second submission the note specifying the color of the raceway was changed to be
"Alum. Fabricated raceway painted B.M. `HC -51 Autobon Russett'. For the color of the
raceway the note specifying "Alum. Fabricated raceway painted to match bricks" on the
first submission was correct.
6. The trim caps and return color should be "black" as specified in the Comprehensive Sign Plan
(CSP). See the attached CSP for reference.
REV. 1: Comment Addressed,
7. The information on the type and color of lights. The CSP specifies white letters. Therefore the
lights must be white so that the sign appears white when lit.
REV. 1: CGmment Addressed..
8. If LED lights are proposed a note that states: "The level of illumination provided by the LED
lights will not exceed the illumination produced by a single stroke of 20 milliamp (ma) neon."
REV. 1: Comment Addressed..
9. The street address of the business where the sign is proposed.
REV. 1: Comment Addressed.
10. The revision date of the resubmission. Retain the original submission date as well.
REV. 1: Comment not fully addressed. Add a new revision date for the latest modifications.
11. in the section detail the 43/15" White Acrylic face' label is attached to a leader that seems to be
pointing at the lights. Ensure that you have one label for the face of the letter, one label for the
lights, and that their leaders point towards the correct portion of the sign.
REV. 1: Coniment .A..ddressed..
Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this letter indicating whether you will or will not

drawings to me. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your
