The contractor shall check for the presence of underground utilities, shall notify all utility companies at least 72 hours prior to starting work and shall be responsible for any and all damage caused by this construction. 2. Temporary and permanent erosion control structures and methods to be in accordance with the Virginia Erosion Control Ordinance and guidelines of any local ordinances. 3. Contractor shall apply for any and all permits required of regulatory agency for this work. This application shall include the submission of plans and the payment of any fees. 4. All site grading and restoration will be in accordance with project plans unless modified by the project engineer in the field based on the situations encountered. Payment for excavation shall be through "whatever substance encountered" and no claim for extra is appropriate for rock or other conditions encountered. 5. Any unusual subsurface conditions shall be immediately called to the attention of the Engineer.. 6. The contractor shall verify all dimensions and elevations prior to starting work. 7. Contour. information field verified by S. L. Key, Inc. on July 13, 1988. 8. Erosion control structures shown, or as required during construction, shall be continuously maintained throughout the period in'which areas are denuded, areas receiving stone or riprap shall be completed immediately after establishing grade. 9. All fill materials shall be of approved type and shall be compacted to 9596 of theoretical maximum density as determined by AASHTO-99 Method A, within plus or minus 2096 of optimum moisture. Lifts to be as required., to achieve the compaction as approved. 10. All unpaved areas of the site shall be provided with 4" of topsoil, fertilized, seeded, compacted and mulched. Seed bed to be watered and cared for as necessary to provide a good lawn quality grass cover. Areas not graded shall be prepared, leveled and seeded to achieve lawn conditions. Contractor is to guarantee lawn quality grass. 11. All topography is based upon an assumed elevation of 500.00 at marked bonnet bolt on fire hydrant at S.E. cornet of Lot 5.
