GENERAL CONSTRUCTION NOTES FOR SITE :PLANS
1, The abbreviation V . D . O . T . made hereafter refers to, the
Virginia Department of Transportation. The term County refers
to the County of Albemarle, Virginia,
2. Prior to commencement of any construction within any existing
public right-of-way, including connection to any existing
road, a permit for said construction shall be obtained from
V.D,0.T.
A1l_.paving•and drainage related materials and construction
methods shall conform to current specifications and standards
of V'.D.O.T. unless othc'a W' �se noted.
4. Erosion and siltation control measurer shall be provided in
accordance with the approved erosion control plan and shall .be
installed prior to any clearing, grading or other
construction.
5. All slopes and disturbed areas are to be fertilized, seeded
and mulched. Maximum allowable fill or cut: slope is 2:1.
Where reasonably obtainable lesser slopes of 4:1 or better are
to be achieved.
6. All drainage inlets shall have. a 2 -inch local depression. -
7. Paved or rip -rap lined ditch may be required when in the
opinion of the County Engineer it is deemed necessary in order
to stabilize a drainage channel.
8. All traffic control signs shall confcrm with the Virginia
Manual_ for Uniform Traffic Control Devices, latest edition.
9. Unless otherwise noted all concrete pipe shall be reinforced
concrete pipe - Class TTI.
10. Contractor shall notify " MISS UTILITY "and verify utilitie locations prior
to arty construction activity,
11. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK INSTALLATION SHALL COMPLY WITH
ALL APPL I CABLE FEDERAL STATE AND LOCAL UGST REGULATIONS_
12. REMOVAL OF EXISTING PRESSURE REDUCING STATION AND ABANDONMENT
OF EXISTING WATER LINE TO BE ACCOMPLISHED ONLY AFTER NEW
PRESSURE REDUCING STATION IS ON LINE.
