The following revisions are requested to make the proposal consistent with the Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines. The sign plan must include all of the information required. Include all of the information you have previously submitted and the additional information requested in this letter. The sign plan must include: General Comments: 1. The date of the first submission and the revision dates. Specify the revision date of the resubmission once these modifications have been made and the sign plan is ready for resubmittal. Rev. 1: Comment not fully addressed. On the next submission once again specify the current revision date. Rev.2: On the next submission once again specify the current revision date. Freestanding Refaced Sign Comments: 2. Provide dimensions for the "graphic" (the "M") and the two lines of text separately. Do not utilize the word "logo" in the sign plan to include the text for the business name. "Logo" or "graphic" is considered in this review to be only the "M" that has the pizza shape incorporated into it. Therefore, the dimension of 14.5" x 43.5"is not be correct for the"graphic". The graphic"M" must meet the CSP criteria as specified. • Keep in mind, as discussed in a previous phone conversation, if it is not wished to use"Colonial Red"in the"M"logo/graphic the logo/graphic could be removed from this wall sign and the"Marco's Pizza" channel letters could be the whole wall sign. 10. Revise the notes in channel letter detail to match those specified elsewhere on the sign plan. Some reduction in the height of the channel letters may be required for the sign. Please note that the Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines specify the correct proportions of a wall sign in a sign band area. The proportions of the sign, in comparison to the sign area as shown on the 2/15/17 resubmission, appear to be large in comparison to the sign band area but the information requested above is required for staff to evaluate it. Please reference this guideline and consider reducing the height of the Channel Letter text prior to resubmission of the sign plan if it appears to not meet the guidelines. Rev. 1: Comment not fully addressed. With the reduction of the height of the "M" graphic the graphic now appears to be integrated with the sign. The sign height. also meets the Comprehensive Sign Plan (CSP) maximum heights. However, the sign must also meet the Entrance Corridor Guidelines for scale and proportion (Appendix A— subsection A). Additional information is needed on the length of the storefront (see comment #17 above) to evaluate whether the proposed sign meets the Appendix A requirements. Once the length and location of the storefront is known and shown on the sign plan then ensure that it meets the ratios specified of either 1/3 text to 2/3 wall area or 1/4 text to 3/4 wall area.
