The Water Protection Plans (WP0201400041) submitted 28 April 2014 have received
Engineering Review and do not appear to meet Albemarle County minimum checklist items for
approval. The following items will need to be adequately addressed prior to final plan approvals:
1. Storm Water management Plan:
a. Please submit information regarding the purchase of SWM credits.
The County of Albemarle has no SWM credit program.
Water quality may be required on site.
Further review of the existing SWM pond design and agreement may be required.
2. Erosion and Sediment Control Plan:
a. The inlet protection is crucial to protecting the existing stormwater system. Any
sediment entering the system will require the entire system being cleaned, and
camera/video inspection of the system may be required to prove system is clean
prior to release of the WPO bond. Please place a note on the plans to warn the
contractor of the need to keep the soil from leaving the site.
b. Please clarify /show the limits of disturbance on the plan.
c. Please clarify /show the limits of pavement removal on the plan.
d. Please show how silt fence will be installed on pavement.
Once these comments have been addressed, please submit 2 copies of the revised plans, calculations, and
narratives to Current Development Engineering along with the required review fee and transmittal form.
Current Development Engineering is available from 2:30 -4 PM on Thursdays to discuss these review
comments. Please contact Max Greene at 434 - 296 -5832 ext. 3283 or email mcreene @albemarle.orc to
schedule an appointment.
[17- 204.f] An application for an erosion and sediment control plan that requires modifications, terms, or conditions to be
included in order for it to be approved shall be deemed to be withdrawn if the owner fails to submit a revised plan addressing the
omitted modifications, terms or conditions within six (6) months after the owner is informed of the omitted information as
provided under paragraph (B).
