Charlottesville, VA 22903 RE: ARB -2017-66: Calvary Chapel of Charlottesville, porch additions Dear Chad, We have received the above -noted application for a county -wide Certificate of Appropriateness for Minor Amendments to Architectural Plans. When you were contacted by a Community Development Planner about submitting an application to the Architectural Review Board, you were asked to include the Checklist of Submittal Requirements for the aforementioned county -wide Certificate of Appropriateness, which was not included in your submission. Please print out and reference the document found at the hyperlink pasted below, which enumerates the materials and supporting documents necessary for a complete application package: http://www.albemarle.or /g_upload/images/forms_center/departments/Community Development/forms/arb_applications/Co unty-wide_ Certificate_ of Appropriateness Checklist minor amendments_l.pdf In addition to filling out and submitting the above checklist, two complete sets of elevations and other supporting materials are required. The following revisions and supporting materials (specified in the above checklist) are requested to meet the design criteria that apply to the County -wide Certificate. 1. Architectural plans to scale (1/8" = 1'). Please note that when large, Al architectural sheets are reduced in size to 11" x 17" paper, the scale is no longer valid. The scale used in the drawings needs to be verified by a scale (a ruler) in order for review to proceed. a. The architectural plans must include a building materials schedule and key on the elevation drawings. 2. One set of material and color samples for all proposed materials. 3. Labeled, color 8-'/z" x 11" photos of the site as seen from both directions on the Entrance Corridor (Route 631). Within 15 days of the date of this letter, please send me a letter (by email is acceptable) indicating whether you will or will not proceed with these revisions. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your application. If you choose to proceed with the revisions, please forward me one set of revised drawings together with a memo summarizing the revisions you've made. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60 -day review period associated with your original submittal. However, I expect to complete the review of your revised proposal within 2 weeks of your re -submittal. If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible.
