Rivanna Village —Phase 1
STOP WORK ORDER
Dear Mr. Boninti
An inspection was done on July loth 2017 of the Rivanna Village Project. The inspection found the following items that
need correction.
1. All Diversions must be installed per approved Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESOP).
2. Diversions must be stabilized per Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook (VESCH). Std. & Spec.
3.32, Permanent Seeding.
3. All Traps and Basins must be installed per approved ESCP.
4. Install all dewatering devices on basin structures.
5. Stabilize all stockpiles per VESCH, Std. & Spec 3.31, Temporary Seeding.
6. Protect all stockpile- staging areas as shown on approved ESCP.
7. Stabilize all denuded areas that will remain dormant for more the 14 days per VESCH Std. & Spec. 3.31,
Temporary Seeding.
8. Remove all Silt Fence from Spillway discharge points on Temporary Sediment Traps.
9. Install Culvert leading to Sediment Basin AS1a,
10. Stabilize Utility Easement per VESCH Std. & Spec. 3.31, Temporary Seeding or Std. & Spec. 3.03,
Construction Road Stabilization, as shown on approved ESCP.
11. Maintain all Silt Fence.
12. Stream Crossings have stone and pipe. Detail shows wood span over streambeds. Install proper Temporary
Stream Crossings per VESCH Std. & Spec. 3.24, Temporary Vehicular Stream Crossing.
This is your stop work order in accordance with section 17-901 and 17-902 of the Water Protection Ordinance. To
comply, work must be completed prior to July 19' 2017. Otherwise the County of Albemarle may revoke your
Erosion Control Permit and claim the bonds for necessary repairs.
The county may add corrective measures to the Stop Work Order if deficiencies are found between issuance and release
of this Stop Work Order.
A re -inspection fee of $250.00 will be sent to the owner for the re -inspection of this stop work order.
Failure to comply by the required date may subject the owner to penalties and remedies as listed under Sections 17-903 and 17
904 of the Water Protection Ordinance of the Albemarle County Code.
Should you have a legitimate reason you cannot complete your Water Protection Ordinance plans by the above given date, you
must immediately contact your erosion control inspector at (434) 270-3471. Unless you have contacted us and alternative
arrangements have been agreed to, we will expect all compliance work to be completed by the above date.
A re -inspection fee of $250.00 will be sent to the owner for each re -inspection of this notice.
