I visited the site as the contractor was finalizing excavation of construction sediment from the basin. During that visit,the contractor and I reviewed the approved bio-filter plan, bio-filter elevations, and bio-filter detail sections, compared against field conditions, and decided any field adjustments required to complete the bio-filter installation.The one adjustment to note was a decision not to remove and reinstall the existing 15"storm pipe from the rear northwest corner of U.S.Joyner into the basin.We determined that the invert out of that existing storm pipe was adequately higher than the basin overflow riser elevation such that the basin hydraulics would not interfere with the drainage of the U.S.Joyner parking lot and that the disturbance of the existing landscape that would be required to make the adjustment was not justified.The bio-filter surface limits were staked for construction by Lincoln Surveying. I visited the site immediately following the installation of the bio-media mix and once again after the installation of the landscaping. Upon visual inspection, the bio-filter and landscaping have been installed per the approved plans, however, the basin seed mix had not yet germinated.The completed bio-filter is documented in the attached photos.
