HomeMy WebLinkAboutARB201600162 Correspondence 2017-08-15Margaret MaUszewski From: Margaret Maliszewski Sent: Friday, January 20, 2017 5:49 PM To: 'Brion @ American Made Signs' Subject: RE: 5 star nutrition sign - revisions needed Brion, I have reviewed the above -noted sign application. The following revisions are requested to make the proposal consistent with the Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines. 1. The orange color name/number is needed on the drawing (and for review). If other than a Pantone number, also provide a sample. 2. All references to "blue" should be deleted from the drawing. 3. Can you clarify/correct the "black/white trim cap color"? 4. Illumination of wall signs in this section of the shopping center is limited to: external or halo/reverse lit. So, the illumination details need to be changed, and the "background ... opaque...." note doesn't really apply. Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this letter indicating whether you will or will not proceed with these revisions. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60-day review period associated with your original submittal. If you choose to complete the revisions, please email the revised drawings to me. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your application. Failure to respond to this letter shall be presumed to be a request to proceed to action on the application without further revisions. If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to receiving your revisions and completing this review with an approval letter. Thanks. Originally when i submitted it and talked with you, it was to be white and blue. However after talking with him and letting him know it's not going to be approved, he decided to switch it. So the white and orange is the correct submission now. Which falls in line with the Mission BBQ sign or even BJ's restaurant. You've added a note indicating "Back -Lit Halo" but the front and side view details still show face -lit channel letters. For clarity and consistency, please revise the details to show back-lit/halo letters. Thanks.
