EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The 1998-00 Work Plan schedule for the Albemarle County Development Departments is designed to provide the development community and interested public with a comprehensive
report documenting the many items which occupy the County Building Code & Zoning Services, Engineering and Public Works & Planning and Community Development Departments'
time and resources. This informational listing is intended as a means of assessing and prioritizing the County's workload, and does not represent a mandated schedule. The work plan shows
time tables for two fiscal years to better illustrate the schedules involved with development department projects. The work plan is divided into three sections: on-going projects, one-time
projects and outyear projects. Also, other County departments that impact development activity are included in the "department category column".
The work plan is broken into five easily identifiable categories:

This product is intended as a communication tool to the many "customers" that the County's Development Departments serve. To keep all interested parties informed and up to date,
this work plan will be revised and made available yearly to all appropriate Boards, Commissions, staff and interested public. The time frames noted are estimates based on the latest
obtainable information and are subject to change without prior notice as workloads and priorities shift. Please call the department listed below if you have any concerns or questions
regarding a specific work item.
