SATISFACTION OF THE OWNER OF SUCH IMPROVEMENTS.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN AND PAY FOR ALL INSPECTIONS, CERTIFICATIONS,
EQUIPMENT, ETC, THAT MAY BE REQUIRED.
7. SEE ARCHITECTURAL PLANS FOR DETAILS OF BUILDINGS AND BUILDING DIMENSIONS.
S. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN AN "AS BUILT" SET OF DRAWINGS TO RECORD THE
EXACT LOCATION OF ALL PIPING PRIOR TO CONCEALMENT. DRAWINGS SHALL BE
GIVEN TO THE OWNER UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT WITH A COPY OF THE
iRANSMITAL LETTER TO THE ENGINEER.
9. IF DEPARTURES FROM THE SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS ARE DETERMINED TO BE
NECESSARY BY THE CONTRACTOR, DETAILS OF SUCH DEPARTURES AND REASONS
THEREOF SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE OWNER FOR REVIEW. NO DEPARTURES FROM
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS SHALL BE MADE WITHOUT THE WRITTEN PERMISSION OF THE OWNER.
10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL, AT ALL TIMES, KEEP THE PREMISES FREE FROM
ACCUMULATION OF WASTE MATERIALS OR RUBBISH CAUSED BY HIM, HIS EMPLOYEES OR
HIS WORK. ALL DEBRIS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROJECT SITE ON A DAILY BASIS.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE EXI ITN PAVEMENTSGAEMENT IN DRIVE AISLE TO FACILITATE UTILITIES
INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL. WHERE NEW PAVEMENT TIES IN TO EXISTING ASPHALT,
CONTRACTOR SHALL SAWCUT EXISTING ASPHALT TO OBTAIN A CLEAN EDGE FOR NEW PAVEMENT.
CONTRACTOR SHALL MATCH EXISTING THICKNESSES WHEN DETERMINING QUANTITIES OF STONE
APPROXIMATELY 2640 SQ FT AND MEASURED 24' FROM FACE OF CURB, 110' IN LENGTH.)
2. CROSSWALK SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF THERMOPLASTIC MATERIALS CONFORMING TO
VDOT REQUIREMENTS, OF 8' WIDTH, AND BARS OF STANDARD WIDTH AND SPACING.
3. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE A PEDESTRIAN BARRIER AND TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES DURING
DEMOLITION AND SUBSEQUENT CONSTRUCTION IN THE COMMON DRIVE AISLE.
BARRIER SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF ORANGE, UV RESISTANT, HIGH TENSILE STRENGTH,
POLY BARRICADE FABRIC WITH WEATHERPROOF SIGNAGE ATTACHED AT MIN 50' INTERVALS.
4, ANY IRRIGATION SYSTEMS WITHIN VDOT RIGHT OF WAY REQUIRE A PERMIT.
5. WORK WITHIN VDOT RIGHT OF WAY MUST CONFORM TO VDOT STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
