RE: SP -98-70 Starbase Alpha Dance Hall, Tax Map 61 W, Section I, Block A, Parcel 2
Dear Mr. Collev:
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meetìng on May 19, 1999, unanimously approved the above-noted
request to add a dance hall to the permitted activitie~. Please note that this approval is subject to tht:: tàllowing
conditions:
I. Use shall be limited to indoor activities only; and
2. The owner, operator, and their successors and assigns agree not to apply tàr or ust:: any permit under tht::
Alcohol Beverage Control Act which would allow for the service or consumption of alcoholic bt::verages during
any dance hall use of the property and further agree to prohibit all consumption of alcohol on the property
during such use. Violation of this agreement shall be deemed grounds for revocation of the spt::cial use pt::rmlt
and shall cause the use to be suspended pending tht:: process for revocation.
In the event that tht:: use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued shall not be commenced within
eighteen (18) months after the issuance of such permit, the same shall be deemed abandoned and the authority granted
thereunder shall thereupon terminate. For purposes of this section, the term "commenced" shall be construed to include
the commencement of construction of any structure necessary to the use of such permit within two (2) years trom the
date of the issuance thereof which is thereafter completed within one ( I) year.
Betore beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearanœ from the Zoning Department. Betore the Zoning
Department will issue a clearance, you must comply with tht:: conditions in this letter. For further imormation, please
