Dear Mr. Missel:
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meeting on June 16, 1999, unanimously
approved the above-noted request to allow an additional building and parking and outdoor
recreational area on a parcel in accordance with Section 13.2.2.10 of the Zoning Ordinance which
allows churches by special use permit. Please note that this approval is subject to the following
conditions:
I. Church development shall be limited to the improvements shown on the Master Plan
Exhibit, dated May 18, 1999 including a maximum of one hundred-five (105) new parking
spaces and incidental improvements such a storage sheds, picnic tables, children's play
equipment, and walkways;
2. Clearing of trees shall be limited to that necessary to install the improvements shown on
the Master Plan Exhibit dated May 18, 1999;
3. Continuation of the preschool activity for up to sixty (60) children five (5) days a week
shall be allowed;
4. The church shall provide evidence ofa maintenance agreement for Fontaine Avenue
Extended prior to approval of the final site plan;
5. Screening of the parking and new building areas shall be as shown on the Master Plan, and
6. Amphitheater use shall be restricted to small outdoor gatherings. No mechanical sound
amplification shall occur in this area.

Before beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearance from the Zoning Department.
Before the Zoning Department will issue a clearance, you must comply with the conditions in this
letter. For further information, please call Jan Sprinkle at 296-5875.
