HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP199800041 Action Letter COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Dept. of Planning & Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, Virginia 229024596 (804) 296-5823 October 21, 1998 Tom Works 975 Hilton Heights Road Charlottesville, V A 22901 RE: SP-98-41 Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated Tax Map 45, Parcel 68D5 Dear Mr. Works: The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meeting on October 14, 1998, unanimously approved the above-noted request to amend an existing permit in accordance with provisions of Section 30.6.3.2 of the Zoning Ordinance, to expand an outdoor storage and display area located in the Entrance Corridor Overlay District. Please note that this approval is subject to the following conditions: I. Storage containers shall not exceed nine feet, six inches in height. 2. The gates will remain closed except when being used. 3. The storage units will not be stacked. In the event that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued shall not be commenced within eighteen (18) months after the issuance of such permit, the same shall be deemed abandoned and the authority granted thereunder shall thereupon terminate. For purposes of this section, the term "commenced" shall be construed to include the commencement of construction of any structure necessary to the use of such permit within two (2) years from the date of the issuance thereof which is thereafter completed within one (1) year. Before beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearance from the Zoning Department. Before the Zoning Department will issue a clearance, you must comply with the conditions in this letter.
