RE: SP-98-35 Pantops Texaco, Tax Map 78, Parcel 4
Dear Mr. S isk:
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meeting on September 16, 1997, unanimously approved a
request to establish a drive-through window on 0.9 acres. Please note that this approval is subject to the
following conditions:
I. No direct access to Route 20 shall be permitted.
2. Access to Route 20 through Tax Map 78, Parcel4A (McDonald's site) shall be required.
3. Provision of a raised curb to separate the drive-thru lane from the travel lanes.
4. Development shall be in general accord with the site plan titled "Pantops Texaco" dated 7/27/98
(copy attached), except as the plan shall be amended to address the above conditions and the
recommendations of the Site Review Committee.
In the event that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued shall not be
commenced within eighteen (18) months after the issuance of such permit, the same shall be deemed
abandoned and the authority granted thereunder shall thereupon terminate. For purposes of this section, the
term "commenced" shall be construed to include the commencement of construction of any structure
necessary to the use of such permit within two (2) years from the date of the issuance thereof which is
thereafter completed within one (I) year.
Before beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearance from the Zoning Department. Before the
Zoning Department will issue a clearance, you must comply with the conditions in this letter. For further
