RE: SP-98-24 Mundie Trucking (Curtis Daniel Mundie)
Tax Map 21, Parcel 23A
Dear Mr. Carter:
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meeting September 16, 1998,
unanimously approved the above-noted request to establish a Home Occupation Class B
for the storage of dump trucks in an existing garage. Please note that this approval is
subject to the following conditions:
1. No more than two employees other than members of the family residing on the
premises, may be involved in the operation of the business at this location at any
given time.
2. Not more than five Class A trucks parked on the property.
3. No repairs of equipment shall be permitted other than routine operational
maintenance such as, but not limited to, oil and tire changes.
4. Virginia Department of Transportation approval of the entrance.
5 No outside storage of equipment related to business.
6. Maintenance of the current tree buffer .1 mile from Route 641(see Attachments D
and E) or equivalent for as long the Home Occupation is in operation.
7. All truck vehicle trips shall exit the property by way of a left turn in the direction
of Route 29; and

8. Truck vehicle trips to and from the property shall not exceed twelve trips per day.
In the event that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued
shall not be commenced within eighteen (18) months after the issuance of such permit,
the same shall be deemed abandoned and the authority granted thereunder shall thereupon
terminate. For purposes of this section, the term "commenced" shall be construed to
include the commencement of construction of any structure necessary to the use of such
permit within two (2) years from the date of the issuance thereof which is thereafter
completed within one (1) year.
Before beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearance from the Zoning
Department. Before the Zoning Department will issue a clearance, you must comply
with the conditions in this letter. For further information, please call Jan Sprinkle at 296-
