HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP199700026 Action Letter COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Dept. of Planning & Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, Virginia 22902-4596 (804) 296-5823 August 20, 1997 Ruth & Russell Shifflett POBox 488 Crozet, VA 22932 RE: SP-97-26 Ruth & Russell Shifflett Tax Map 15, Parcel 12 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Shifflett: The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meeting on August 13, 1997, unanimously approved the above-noted request for a one year extension of SP-95-3 8 permitting stream crossing in the floodplain of the Doyle's River. Please note that this approval is subject to the following conditions: 1 . Albemarle County Engineering approval of final bridge plans and details. The plans must include grading plans for the road and abutments in the flood plain with details of culverts through the embankment. Bridge plans must be sealed and signed by a professional engineer; 2. Albemarle County Engineering approval of hydrologic, hydraulic and structural computations prepared by a professional engineer. Computations shall include an analysis of the impacts to the one hundred year flood plain; 3. Albemarle County Engineering approval of an erosion control plan if the disturbance is more than 10,000 square feet; Page 2 August 20, 1997 4. Albemarle County Engineering receipt of proof of compliance with Federal and State agencies regulating activities affecting wetlands and watercourses. This will involve a Joint Permit Application through the Virginia Marine Resources Commission; 5. Albemarle County Engineering approval of a Water Quality Impact Assessment; 6. All future divisions of Tax Map 15, Parcel 12, shall use this stream crossing for access to Route 810; and 7. Approval of this special use permit shall expire on February 14, 1999 unless the construction on the stream crossing shall have commenced. In the even that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued shall not be commenced within eighteen (18) months after the issuance of such permit, the same shall be deemed abandoned and the authority ganted thereunder shall thereuon terminae. For purposes of this section, the term "commenced" shall be construed to include the commencement of construction of any structure necessary to the use of such permit withn two (2) years from the date of the issuance thereof which is threafter cmpleted within one (I) year. Before beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearance from the Zoning Department. Before the Zonign Department will issue a clearance, you must comply with the conditions in this letter.
