Dear Mr. Wood:
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meeting on November 15, 1995, approved the
above-noted request to establish outdoor storage and display of autos. Please note that this
approval is subject to the following conditions:
]. Remove existing signage from the site;
2. Construct a berm topped with screening trees between the entrance corridor on the
southernmost part of the parking area. The parking in this area shall be screened
from the entrance corridor;
3. Architectural Review Board (ARB) approval oflandscape location, sizes and
species type. Trees are to be large street trees (3 112" caliper);
4. No elevated vehicle display;
5. The lighting shall be directed down onto the site with the source of the light
shielded from view from the entrance corridor;
6. No attention-getting devices shall be attached to any vehicle or structure on the
site. This shall prohibit the use of balloons, spinners, streamers and the like;

7. A certificate of appropriateness shall be required prior to approval of the site plan;
8. Lighting of the site shall be limit~d to between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 9:00
P.M.;
9. Remove the gas pumps from the current location. Reestablishment of the gas
pumps shall be permitted subject to site plan approval and approval by the ARB;
and
10. Vehicle sales and display shall be limited to the parking area shown on
Attachment D (on file in the Planning Office).
Before beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearance from the Zoning Department.
Before the Zoning Department will issue a clearance, you must comply with the conditions in
this letter. For further information, please call Jan Sprinkle at 296-5875.
