Dear Mr. Chiles:
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meeting on June
9, 1993, approved the above-noted request for a 60 foot tower and
equipment building for use by WVIR-TV adjacent to the existing
WVIR tower and building on Carter's Mountain. Please note that
this approval is subject to the following conditions:
1. Tower height not to exceed 65 feet. Tower to be located as
shown on Attachment C initialled WDF and dated 4/29/93;
2. Department of Engineering approval of tower design to ensure
that in the event of collapse the tower falls within the
leased area.
Before beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearance
from the Zoning Department. Before the Zoning Department will
issue a clearance, you must comply with the conditions in this
letter. For further information, please call Babette Thorpe at
296-5975.
