RE: ARB-2017-71: Riverside Center Amendment
Dear Norm,
I have reviewed the above -referenced application for a county -wide Certificate of Appropriateness. With your recent
revisions, the proposal meets all of the design criteria outlined by the Architectural Review Board for this type of
Certificate. You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness.
This approval is specifically conditioned on the following:
1, Execution of the design indicated on the final approved plans, attachments, materials, samples, and other submittal
items presented.
2. The retractable awning is approved only on the west (side) elevation.
3. The sun shade system already installed on the south (front) elevation shall be continued across the Rhett's front at
5' deep.
Please note the following:
1. The ARB recommended that the retractable awning on the west elevation be held back from the corner (in line
with the control joint) to avoid visual conflict with the sun shade on the front elevation.
2. Any changes in the approved design will require a new application and additional review.
4. Certificates of Appropriateness are valid for the same period that the corresponding site plan is valid. If there
is no site plan required for the proposed work, the Certificate of Appropriateness is valid for 3 years.
Applicants requesting an extension of the period of validity must do so in writing. The letter must be
received by the Director of Planning prior to the expiration date.
If you have any questions concerning this action, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
/ ---
