provided at the time of the meeting. Since details are rarely provided at a preapplication conference, staffs
comments will be general in nature. if staff doesn't have answers to an applicant's questions, we will get back
to you over the next week. Similarly, if staff needs additional information to assist you in making a future
application, we will get back to you over the course of the week to obtain that information.

To whom it may concern,
Estimate to provide a public water connection for Tax Map 61 parcel 210 (the southern
side of Rio Road):
This water line will have to run about 400 feet to the south from the proposed building
site. In order to connect with public water it will have to go across Meadow Creek and
through the flood plain for over 100 feet. Part of the line will have to be elevated out of
the flood plain. The line will cost about $2000.-- and the support / bridge structure will
cost in excess of $10,000.--. In addition care will have to be taken to insure the line does
not have the possibility of freezing which will require weatherproofing.
T'12ius we estimate the water line connection cost to be4 over $12,000.-- for this site.

Dear Representative,
attached are two cost estimates for the connection of water and sewer to the public
system. While I am not a contractor please accept my expertise which includes the fact
that I have built / renovated many buildings in Charlottesville including the 60000 SF
Terraces Building and am now active renovating over 500,000 SF of Lynchburg
warehouses and other buildings.
The cost of installing a well and connecting to it is about $2500.--
The cost of installing a conventional septic tank and drainfield is less than $3000.--.

To whom it may concern,
Estimate to provide a septic tank and drain field for Tax map 61 Parcel 210 (the southern
side of Rio Road).
This septic line will have to go down the hill to the south and will have to go across the
Meadow Creek in an elevated minimum 8" diameter cast iron line. The construction of
this line and bridge structure for a distance of 400 feet will cost in excess of $40,000.-- as
the line will have to be anchored on very stout foundations and will have to have the
structural ability to withstand a 100 year flood.
