For future reference,to aid in your scheduling, the preferred turnaround time on resubmissions is 14 days. The turnaround time in our ordinances is much longer than that and we have been having to go beyond out preferred deadlines on many of the submittals as of late. Also, I have been answering questions from some of the owners and a representative of one of the owners. I felt that was important to do before any approval. With that being said the remaining comments were minor and I have found them to be satisfactorily addressed. So it is ready for signature copies. 1. Submit two or more signed/sealed plats to the Community Development front desk to my attention. The County will keep one signed original. 2. There is then a last check of the plat and if all is well then they are signed by a County representative. 3. I will then call you to let you know once the rest of the signed originals are ready for your pick up. However, there is a process that the applicant/contact uses with VDOT when that is required, to have VDOT officially confirm that there are one or more locations where an entrance would be allowed. I've not done it myself so I don't know the official process for requesting the evaluation, but the survey company that is doing the plat would know. Can you assure us that there will be at least one driveway access point for each property,and if so,can you identify them on a plat? Or do we need to contact the VDOT directly to request an evaluation and placement options? Gaining access to our land has been a long, confusing process for us, and it would be very disturbing to go through with the purchase of the Sharp property and still not have access to our properties! This is not yet approved, but it is extremely close and may be very soon. On Sheet 1 of 2 look at notes B & C. Note B states that no development rights are being added (transferred) with Parcel X and Parcel Y, which are the two portions between the stream. Note C states the number of development rights that will remain with TM 65-6A. The number of development rights in note C is the same as were stated in the plat attached to Deed book 1332 Page 631. I will attach that for your reference. See note 2 of that plat.
