You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness. This approval is specifically conditioned on the following: 1. Execution of the design indicated on the final approved plans, attachments, materials, samples, and other submittal items presented. Please note the following: 1. Any changes in the approved design will require a new application and additional review. 2. External illumination should be shielded and note create glare. Lighting should be aimed so as not to project illumination beyond the sign. All external light sources shall be white. 3. Ground mounted lighting should be shielded by landscaping so that it is not visible from any adjacent property or right-of-way. 4. Shrubs planted in the Entrance Corridor overlay district must be planted at 24-inch minimum height. Staff recommends a low -growing evergreen variety. 5. This ARB approval is only one approval required prior to installing a sign. An approved sign permit is also required. Please do not proceed with the construction or installation of your sign until you have received your signed permit. The new shrubs, shown in green, will be from the Albemarle County Recommended Plants List in category "Broadleaved Evergreen/Semi-Evergreen Shrubs." (-\ e-W Ada, � , �--kc �\ Ir-0, i n i Kerry. 2 Our plan is to reface the existing sign. The refacing is to include the following: 1. Replace the missing brick on the top left of the sign. This can be seen in the photo. 2. Paint the brick using Benjamin Moore "Ocean Floor -1630" which is the same color used on the brick exterior of the new auto shop at the property. Having the same color will integrate the sign with the other structures on the property in a more appealing way. 3. Repaint the white background on both sides. 4, Add the Logo for integrity Auto & Diesel as an overlay to the white background on both sides. 'PA INT 5.
