I have a couple questions on the following comments that you may be able to help clarify: Comment 2: Regarding channel protection: The natural channel for which we outfall to,even at the high end of the site is at or JUST over 1%the contributing drainage area. I haven't ran a calculation but I am nearly certain that the contributing 1-Year flow from our site is also at or below 1%of the contributing area. This was our thought process/approach in attempting to meet the channel protection requirements. Regarding flood protection: It is our estimation that the natural channel experiences flooding during a 10-Yr, 24-hour storm event. With that in mind we are demonstrating that our 10-year post development rate is less than pre- developed. Is this approach, and explanation acceptable? 4. Regarding containment of sediment laden water: Our measures are currently in line with the VESCH. Culvert inlet rotection may treat up to an acre of contributing drainage area per VESCH. Outlet protection is also provided. The silt OQ ence provided is set such that the designed drainage area does not exceed the maximum as specified in the VESCH. We will examine the need for check dams and provide them if they are warranted. Everything else is fairly straight forward, and we will be revising the plan accordingly. We appreciate your review and look forward to addressing the comments and resubmitting, hopefully by the end of the week. With this in mind,we would appreciate a timely response. Feel free to call my office or cell phone to discuss further. I will be available all day today. Thanks, Clint Shifflett, P.E.
