5. ONE B" LAYER OF BASE COURSE (SEE MATERIALS) SHOULD BE PLACED, AFTER THE
ROADBED HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY COMPACTED. THIS LAYER SHOULD BE GRADED,L
SHAPED AND COMPACTED TO 6" IN DEPTH. THE USE OF 4 VIBRATORY TAMP TO COMPACT
THE BASE COURSE IS RECOMMENDED.
