Attach a separate sheet If necessary. 1) Replacement of all rose bushes, existing ones are infested with disease "Rosebush Rosetta" and are dying off, new plants less maintenance than current rose bushes. 2) The Honey Locust tress are getting spider mites infestations every year. Mite populations have been soaring the last few years during hot conditions of summer and are more problematic on drought stressed trees. These infestations are leaving our trees with a sick appearance and are defoliated most of the year. (See attached continuation of Part C) I Part D: Applicant Agreement I Applicant must read and sign • Each application package must contain (8) folded copies of all plans and documents being submitted. Only (1) set of building material samples is required. All submittal items, including building material samples, become the property of Albemarle County. Attach the owner's written consent. 11/2010 Page 2 of 2 OVER Architectural Review Board Application (Continued) - Part C-Description of Proposal 3) The Locust tree near flag pole had to be removed due to it growing into flag area and customer complaints from former military despite several attempts at drastic pruning. 4) New landscape will improve aesthetics and result in a more economical maintenance area. 5) Locust trees currently cost approximately $2,500.00 every other year in trimming costs alone. Written description of the proposal 1 ❑ Provide a description of the proposed work. 2 ❑ Explain how the proposal is compatible with the surrounding area and the Entrance Corridor. 8.
