Myers, PE (mme. ers e,dominioneng com) From: Tim Padalino, AICP Division: Planning Date: March 19, 2018 Subject: Review Comment Letter — SUB201800043 — Springhill / Towneplace Suites (Easement Plat dated 2/21/2018) The easement plat referred to above (dated February 21, 2018) has been reviewed by Albemarle County's Community Development Department (CDD), and by other members of the Site Review Committee (SRC), as applicable. The Planning Division of CDD will approve the above -referenced easement plat after the outstanding issues identified in this letter have been addressed and resolved to the satisfaction of the lead reviewer and each SRC plan reviewer, as applicable. Additional comments or conditions may be added or eliminated based on further review. Please work directly with each SRC plan reviewer to address and resolve their review comments, and obtain their tentative approvals, as may be applicable. Approvals from each applicable SRC plan reviewer should be forwarded to the lead planner at CDD upon receipt. After tentative approvals have been obtained from each applicable SRC plan reviewer, please submit to CDD signature copies of the easement plat for County approval. Please revise easement plat to include a note that clearly states the purpose for the "New Private Landscape Easement." Staff acknowledge that existing Note 10 includes reference to the subject property for the Springhill/Towneplace Suites project, but it does not indicate what purpose this easement is to serve. Please see comments from ARB staff (below) for recommended language. A note should be added to the plat clarifying that the purpose of the new private landscape easement is the retention and maintenance of vegetation within the designated area for consistency with the approved special use permits and site plan.
