At that meeting the ARB approved the signs on the front of the building (facing the EC) as installed. Regarding the sign on the side elevation (facing the shopping center), you and the ARB reached a compromise. You suggested that the installation of windows on the side elevation of the building would offset the negative impacts of the sign location. The ARB agreed and the window installation is therefore considered a required condition of approval for the wall sign in its current location. Zoning staff has brought to my attention the need for further clarification on this action, indicating a need for an established deadline for window installation in order to fully process the violation on this site. It has been noted that you require several months to receive the windows from the manufacturer. This information was conveyed to the ARB at their meeting on July 19, 2004. To assist in the completion of processing this violation, it was the consensus of the Board that: 1. United Land Corporation shall provide written confirmation from the window manufacturer regarding the delivery date for the windows, and 2. Two months added to the delivery date shall act as the deadline for installation of the windows. In an effort to resolve this violation in as timely a manner as possible, please forward me a copy of the manufacturer's estimated window delivery date by August 16, 2004 and I will coordinate the remaining aspects of processing this violation with the other staff members involved. If you have questions or other concerns about this action, please contact me as soon as possible. Sincerely, Margaret Maliszewski Design Planner Cc: ARB -2003-170 Amelia McCulley
