Subject: ARB review of TJ Maxx signs at Rio Hill Shopping Center
Good Afternoon Margaret,
In regards to the signage mentioned below, the pylon panels are no longer in our scope of work for this project. Since
the under canopy sign is not expected to be visible from the Rt. 29 it appears that we will not require the ARB review
and consequently will not be required to pay the $129.00 fee. The proposal does not include any changes to the existing
wall sign.
Please let me know if there is anything else that you will need and let me know how to proceed so that we may be
issued the permit for the under canopy sign.
Thank you,
Jill Hopkins

Subject: ARB review of TJ Maxx signs at Rio Hill Shopping Center
Sarah,
Your application for TJ Maxx signs at Rio Hill Shopping Center is under review for conformity with Entrance Corridor
sign guidelines. Please see the following comments:
1. The ARB sign review fee of $129 was not paid but is required.
2. The background of the tenant panel for the freestanding sign must be opaque. Please add a note to the drawing
indicating this.
3. You’ve proposed 3m 3630-33 red for the letters on the tenant panel. References indicate that the Pantone match
for this is 1797C. Please confirm.
4. Please confirm that this proposal includes no changes to the channel letter wall sign.
5. Note that the under-canopy sign is not expected to be visible from the Rt. 29; consequently, it does not require
Architectural Review Board approval.

Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this letter indicating whether you will or will not proceed with these
revisions. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60-day review period associated with your original
submittal. If you choose to complete the revisions, please email the revised drawings to me. If you choose not to proceed
with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your application. Failure to respond to this letter shall be presumed to
be a request to proceed to action on the application without further revisions.
If you have any questions about this process, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
