The terms County refers to the County of Albemarle, Virginia. 2. Prior to commencement of any construction within any existing public right-of-way, including connecticon to an.y existing road, a permit for said construction shall be obtained from V,D.O.T. 3. All paving and drainage related materials and construction methods shall- conform to current specifications and standards of V.D.O.T. unless otherwise noted. 4. Erosion and siltation control measures shall_ be provided in accordance with one approved erosion control plan and must be installed prior to any clearing, gradinig or other construction. 5. All slopes and disturbed areas are to be fertilized, seeded and mulched. Maximum allocable fill or scut slope is 2:1. Where reasonably obtainable lesser slopes oJf 4:1 or better are to be achieved. 6. All drainage inlets shall have a 2 -inch local depression. 7. Paved or rip -rap lined ditch may be. required when, in the opinion of the DirecLJr of Engi-neeri_ng, or his designee, it is deemed necessary in order to stabilize a drai.nnge chanae.l., 8. Work shall be subject to inspection by Albemarle County Service Authority Inspectors. The contractor will be responsible for notifying tlhe proper Service Authority Officials at the start of the work. 2. The location of existing utilities across the line of the proposed work are not: necessarily shown on the plans and where shown, are only approximately correct. The contractor shall on his own initiative locate all undergroutad lines and structures as necessary. 3. All materials and construction shall comply with. general water unci sewer construction specifications as adopted by the Albemarle County Service Authority on January 20, 1983, amended December 20, 1984, February 21, 1985 and July 17, 1989. 4. Datum :for all elevations shown in National Geodetic Survey. 5. The contractor shall be responsible for notifying "Miss Utility" (1-800-552-7001). 6. All water and sewer pipe shall have a minimum of 3 feet of covezr measured from the top of pipe, over the centerline of pipe. 7. 20, wide easements, centered on the water and sewer pipeline an<d appurtenances, shall be dedicated to the Albemarle County Service Authority, e:xcepL where the line is in a public road rigtit of way easement, in wliich case the access easement shall also be dedicated as an utility easement. 8. Ductile iron pipe shall be used in fill areas, unless 95% compacction can be obtained. and certified by an approved testing lab, at the Owner's expense. 9. 3' nd-nimum separation required between water line and storm sew(er culverts or 6" separation when W.L. insulated. 1/2" thick therma-cel pipe insulation in 3' x 41 sheets as manufactured. by Inc. or equal approved by )Albemarle County Service Autfior:ity.
