You don’t need to add the arrow signs (shown as optional) but you would need the advisory speed plate and the chevrons. Adam J. I have included the Demolition & Existing Conditions Plans to show which stop signs will be 5 removed. I have also included the Site Layout Plan to show the location of the stop signs (existing and proposed) at final build out. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me. We will update current plans to reflect this. I will send you a PDF reflecting the changes tomorrow. I will start coordinating with our sign people to make the other changes. I think it wise we do a little PR/notification of the residents before making the existing sign changes. I agree, let’s keep the one highlighted in purple as an all way stop. Adam J. Signs in Blue are proposed stop signs for the current east side plans you are reviewing. Signs in Red are existing stop signs to be removed. Signs showing on the current plans under review will be noted as such. Signs in Green are existing stop signs to remain in place. I am not certain about the area highlighted in purple with the note, but think it should be a 4 way stop since a straight thru continuing east will go from public road to an alley. Let me know any changes I need to make. Once we are good with you guys, I will update the current review plans to reflect. Thanks in advance. I think we may need to discuss this further tomorrow afternoon. Dennis acknowledged that two stops were added out there in the field and that it was understood that was the limit of it. Joel reiterated his point of view that all way stops (AWSC) are only to be used when warrants are satisfied. There are substantial studies that show stop signs are not effective in controlling speed. We will however review and consider alternate (nonphysical) means of traffic calming. Joel said that he has had discussions to this effect with others to include Mr. Brockman. He said that the strategy should be 7 that the roads intersecting with Old Trail Blvd should be the through streets and that the north-south roads should be stop controlled. I appreciate that you feel this is late in the review process for this particular section, but it appears that these types of discussions have been had long before this plan review process began. My expectation is that we can discuss location and direction of stop signs via email and pdfs but I feel it should be sorted out prior to plan approval. Adam J.
